FYI: deepGreen's CEO

Before the dawn of the Internet,

Before the creation of deepGreen.COM,

While riding on his Dad's shoulders, the future user57 dreams dreams of what is yet to be.

Family Day at his Dad's employer was fun for his Mother and Sister, too.

FAQ:

  1. ¿Why?
  2. On November 29, 1996, user57 registered and established his website, "The Genuine" deepGreen (dot)COM; Thus fulfilling his desire to participate in the internet technology.   Although "deepgreen" was the only, available 'URL' on his list of choices, The Genuine deepGreen.COM was the first of the many possible "deepgreen" variations to be registered.

From March 15, 2000, strange emails started appearing at deepGreen.COM.   Overwhelmed by curiosity, SF.DINO initiated a search for deepgreen namesakes.   We Are Not Alone!   results exposed other deepgreen web sites;   Thus The Deepgreen Namesakes' Directory was born.

Within the dg Namesake Directory, viewers will find links to each web site.   Each of these companies or organizations proudly display their version of a deepgreen banner.

On December 9, 2001, The Genuine deepGreen(dot)COM released it's Web Book:   deepGreen for DUMMIES.   This reference source contains FYI about the known deepgreen namesakes that are accessible on the internet.

Personnel at some deepgreen websites (and their clients) assume that THEIR email address is "@deepgreen.com".

Unfortunately for them, any incorrectly addressed email, specifing OUR "@deepgreen.com" email address, (when sent) does arrive at OUR doorstep, NOT THEIR's.

Only correctly addressed emails will arrive at THEIR doorstep.

On January 6, 2002, the NEWS page, containing the deepGreen "Quickie"-Report   was established for the release of Individual and Serialized Works.   And unlike dg's home page, an ARCHIVE Directory is accessible at the bottom of the NEWS' Main page.

  3. ¿What's This Dude All About?
  4. DeepGreen.COM is an earthtone and enviromentally friendly dot-com.

OUR MISSION is to promote recycling, by displaying here at deepGreen.COM "the stuff of genius" that we find.   We honor these sources by including links to their websites whenever possible.

OUR MOTTO: Watch us evolve beyond the common into the unusual.

  5. ¿Where's The Beef?
  6. Utilizing a graphics editor and a handful of animated gif's, user57 created the genuine deepGreen.COM.   Today, modified versions of the original "boilerplate" are used for the home and support pages.   After acquiring a scanner, SF.DINO has flexibility to change and update this evolving web site.

Prior to deepGreen's immobilization period of "Sorry... down!" Demo and full sized versions of user57's Team Time Trakker were available for download and purchase.   Then user57 transfered his software renaissance to Planet57.COM.   "Alas, poor Trakker!   I knew ye well."   Is now a departed spirit.

During the 1st quarter of 2002, Planet57.COM metamorphosed into Jason's (aka user57) personal web site.   The deepGreen.Com menu "Support" list the software companies that user57 has or is working for.

In 2000, user57's Dad, SF.DINO, was given permission to eliminate the "Sorry... down!" homepage display and breathe a new life into this web site.

Returning from Chiang Mai, Thailand,   Jason is currently living and working in the S.F. Bay Area.

  7. ¡deepGreen.COM's   SPAM DISCLAIMER !!!
  8. Past and Present, DeepGreen.COM has not advertised by email.   We receive FAILURE NOTICES on non existent TO: email addresses sent by advertising SPAMMERS.   SPAM looking like it came from deepgreen.com has several characteristics:

    1. The FROM: after "@" part is @deepgreen.com, not @deepGreen.COM.

    2. The FROM: portion before the "@" is not a word(s) nor a routing label used here at @deepGreen.COM.

    3. Email from deepGreen.COM passes through our internet access provider.   At present no email is sent out through our website.

    4. In the SPAM with the fake FROM: ...@deepgreen.com, you won't find any link back to The Genuine deepGreen.COM.

  9. dg's Oracle
  10. In September 2006, dg's Oracle, featuring Ascii Swami, materialized from the ether to reveal answers to viewers' email questions.   Every month, the best question received is posted along with Ascii Swami's reply.

  11. Status:   deepGreen.COM
  12. KNOT 4 SAIL
Email deepGreen.COM if you don't get the words (and the message) generated by these three pictures!

  13. ¿And???
  14. Future Releases in works:

Our anonymous website viewers are not the types that participate in interactive exchanges such as, deepGreen's Message Board.   Consequently dg's message board, by any or all names, was eliminated.

    Future Options:

    1. Sell Widgets and/or Widget Kits.

    2. Establish the Shoplifters' Network. People post what they want. And SLers bid "I can get that for $$$."

    3. Attend Satirists Anonymous meetings.

    4. Future release of   "A Collection of Printed Articles"   on Submarines.   And create CDs for future purchase by viewers.
