Staying at the Camp Curry Tent Cabins

On monday, the mass exodus within the park left many vacancies amongst those remaining.   Both my Dad (daytime) and I (nighttime) had unusual experiences.

Dad, while walking to the restrooms, absentmindedly walked into the women's section and sat down in one of the stalls.   While he was nearing the end of his stay, he was hearing whispering voices.   Feeling embarrassed he waited until the coast was clear then exited.
Night was dark except for a light here and there.   I was returning from the men's restroom on my way back to our cabin to go to bed.   I had my soap box in my right hand and was rattling the soap inside.   When I was 3 feet from our table, A brown bear reared-up and growled.   My mouth started to emit a warbling sound as I turned around to run away just as the bear jumped up a nearby tree trunk.   Moments later, I reached the restroom area and the bear had wandered away where other people started yelling at it.

Fishing in the Merced River.   Or should I say playing with my rod and reel.

The slides that I retrieved back on August 24, 2009, had been in storage for several years.   These slides were EKTACHROME and are obviously affected by heat and cold stress.   -- SF.DINO
